New Socks for Homeless Shelters
Sock StuffChildren are Powerful
invention of a knitting machine in 1589 meant that socks could be
knitted six times faster than by hand. Nonetheless, knitting machines
and hand knitters worked side by side until 1800. Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul.
Teaching our children the power of prayer is a practice that will no doubt yield fruit.
Here's an idea, children can hold a small sock in their hands while
they pray for the homeless (and for Comfort Socks too please). Keep the
sock under their pillow.

About author Valynn Sala-Diakanda:
is a wife, mother, sister and daughter who wanted to take objects kids
see everyday and use it to remind them of their mommy and all the
things parents say to make their toddlers bigger and kids stronger. Her
second book, Gibberish Day, No Way, is about animals that vow never to
let a crazy day destroy their joy. Her books make God's word very
present in the daily life of a child and are interactive and fun for
parents to read.
Let us not forget why we are here. For every smile you see, there are many more people who do not have a
smile to share. Contrary
to the common view one might have of a homeless person, many found in
shelters today are there because there simply is not steady work. Able
and willing to work, searching every day, they move from city to city
hoping something will open up. We appreciate
your help so much but those you have helped by your support are
grateful in a way they cannot express. We have the honor to thank you
Your support of Comfort Socks has allowed us to receive 44,635 pairs of socks so far. We are so grateful to all our supporters. First: We wish Comfort and Compassion are known by our actions and to all sock recipients. Second: We pray for Blessings for our supporters, sock recipients, and those without a home. Third: Please stay mindful of us and remember us monthly, if you can. Special Thanks to New Life Christian Fellowship for allowing us the use of their facilities and for their prayers and support for our mission.New Life Christian Fellowship

Do you own real estate may wish to donate to us? Did you know that under
the new health care bill real estate
transactions may be
subject to a 3.8% sales
tax ? Now might be a BEST time to consider the tax benefits of donating property to a non-profit like Comfort Socks. If
you have a piece of property that you are unable to sell or lease, a
donation of that real estate to Comfort Socks would be of interest to
and may be of great benefit to you. Please contact me so we can discuss these opportunities.
Comfort Socks is a 501(c)3 public charity
that collects and distributes new
socks for homeless
people and families.
All contributions are tax-deductible as
allowed by law.
