New Socks for Homeless Shelters
Welcome New Sock Recipient!
Comfort Socks welcomes our newest sock recipient Helping the Homeless Now Inc.
Here is what HHN
says about Comfort Socks... "Board member Shela has made contact with a
wonderful organization called Comfort Socks. What a great idea! These
people understand the importance of clean comfortable socks for
homeless people. ....Aside from food, socks are one of the most asked
for items we carry. Thank you Comfort Socks!

Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul.
Thank you, Sock Collectors, Keep em Coming
Thanks to our sock donors - Socks
collected to date jumped over 45,000 pairs - that translates to 45,000
people comforted - thank you, sock collectors, for a job well done -
but DO NOT stop - We need for you to keep it going.
What can we say about Shepherds Assembly? They are always there
when we call. Last month they blessed us with socks. More than
that, though, is their quick response to the cry of those in the
dark. – they just get it, and because they do – 229 people will
be warm instead of cold, remembered instead of forgotten, and
experience a touch of love during a desperate time.
thanks to AHRC - Suffolk Seniors for collecting new socks for Comfort
Socks . Please know that new socks can mean the difference between a
cold sleepless night and warm comfortable one. On behalf of the 57
people you have helped to keep warm - thank you. We welcome your help
We're So Proud!
Comfort Socks stood in good company with 13 other non-profits when receiving a community grant from ATMC.
The support given to so many worthy charities that operate in Brunswick
County truly helps us to continue. But for us, ATMC gives us more than
monetary support- they get personal with us - with Mr. Russ and ATMC
committee members personally embracing our causes. Hearts and souls
were indeed felt in that room, and we are honored to be a part of it.
Thank you, Mr. Russ, the Community Grant Committee, and fellow non-profits in our county, for all you do.
We're at it Again!

Let's get our youth involved more than ever this year.
Youth Board of Directors (YBOD)
Socks wants to encourage the youth of our community to make a
difference from the business side of things. That is why we are looking
for local youth, ages 12 – 18, who would like to sit on the Comfort
Socks Youth Board of Directors.
Comfort Socks Youth Board of Directors (after this called YBOD) would
meet once a month and hold an actual board meeting to spearhead events
for Comfort Socks. One goal is to get the youth familiar with how to,
collectively and productively, select a YBOD President, Vice-President,
Secretary, and Treasurer, and become familiar with the duties each of
these roles. Click here for more info

Let's Not Forget
Let us not forget why we are here. For every smile you see, there are many more people who do not have a
smile to share. Imagine you have lost everything,
hope, joy, a place to call you own. You are alone and on the streets,
constantly being prodded to move along from place to place. Every step
becomes a painful step, a reminder of your situation. Imagine you are
in those shoes?
Your support of Comfort Socks has allowed us to receive 45,597 pairs of socks so far. We are so grateful to all our supporters. First: We wish Comfort and Compassion are known by our actions and to all sock recipients. Second: We pray for Blessings for our supporters, sock recipients, and those without a home. Third: Please stay mindful of us and remember us monthly, if you can. Special Thanks to New Life Christian Fellowship http://www.newlifecf.net for allowing us the use of their facilities and for their prayers and support for our mission.Do you own real estate may wish to donate to us? Now might be a BEST time to consider the tax benefits of donating property to a non-profit like Comfort Socks. If
you have a piece of property that you are unable to sell or lease, a
donation of that real estate to Comfort Socks would be of interest to
and may be of great benefit to you. Please contact me so we can discuss these opportunities.
