Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul

Amazing Love.....

The Church of the Common Ground foot clinic moved us from the very start of our mission. Everytime they have contacted us for socks, we have answered. There dedication to the feet of the homeless every Monday is astounding to us. Thank you, Church of the Common Ground for your faithfulness and love.

Welcome New Sock Recipients...

Comfort Socks is excited to welcome The Pourhouse of Indianpolis, IN  to our list of shelters. The director there told me snow and freezing temps there. Our reply? Hold on - Hundreds of pairs of sock help is on the way!

Working Together Brings a Great Harvest ...

Just can't express how the Your City Sport and Comfort Socks partnership touches us. For through us many are being blessed with new sock comfort (which translates to LOVE)

This month, the Comfort Socks partnership with Your City Sports (  yielded- 550 pairs of socks that flooded 3 separate shelters. These shelters have grown close to our hearts for the amazing care they give the homeless and broken of the streets.

My Shepherds House - Bend, Oregon (

Community House – Toledo, WA

Cocoon House – Everitt, Wash – (

Help us keep this fantastic momentum going by supporting Your City Sports. Together we continue to Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul!

We Receive and Give with LOVE...

How can we express what it means to someone who is hurting to receive Comfort? Only a compassionate heart can truly understand and be touched by a such a deep thing. You, Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, heard our mission, and responded. Thank you for your generous gift of comfort to the lost and alone. We are deeply touched.

We just love getting surprises in the mail. Thanks to Jeremy Keeton, who approached his co-workers at Merchant Payment Services of Kettering, OH, over 200 pairs of socks will bless the feet of others. We are jumping for joy and gratitude, YAY Jeremy!

Boy oh Boy - Wanna see a face light up? Just hand a homeless shelter nurse some diabetic socks and SMILES of LIGHT shine away. We are so grateful to our supporters for sending us over 2 dozen pairs that we gave to The Good Shepherd Center this past week. We also blessed their family section with kids and women's socks too (we stocked them up with mens socks 2 weeks ago).

So how many socks can fit in our Comfort Socks vehicle? Oh enough to warm a multitude of feet. Thanks to Brunswick Plantation Living Neighbors in Service - we are packing them up - and getting them out to the shelters that have patiently been waiting for the sock gates to open.  Thank You Lord for BP Neighbors In Service and Comfort Socks connection! Stay tuned - final number soon - socks are still rolling in!

New Vision PFW Baptist Chruch of Supply has once again supported our ministry with socks, donations and most of all love for the homeless. Bless you, NVPFWB, we appreciate you year after year after year. Special thanks to the Lord for the unfailing heart of Mrs. Elizabeth Lanier Benton - So amazing how she loves

Lesley Bennett knows how to get it done in her community! Thank You Arbor Creek – 152 Pairs of Socks of amazingly warm and comfortable socks. Leslev never tires of us - giving of her time and talents as she sits on our Advisory Board. We Love You, Les

Phyllis and Buster Formyduval, your heart for our mission blesses us in so many ways – we appreciate you.

Kindness Keeps Us Going....

The Pourhouse Says.....

"We just received and AMAZING donation from Comfort Socks! We can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity - WOW! Our friends living on the streets will benefit immensely and we are so thankful!!"

Potters House of Virgina Beach says….

"Another man arrived at Potters House for services. In the process of the interview he shared that he was embarrassed because had not been able to change his clothes for several days. The joy he expressed when we were able to provide him with clean socks was proof of the importance of the Comfort Socks ministry"

We were honored to sit with the Son Dance Liturgical Group this week. Informal discussion about how the feet of those who dance bring freedom, and how the feet of the homeless bring a sad realization. But hope is always available to those whose purpose is to love. I will never tire of the dance of these young ladies, especially when that dance is dedicated to the Lord. Thank you, ladies, for your dance of faith.

Honored to share our mission with the South Brunswick Interchurch Council and to share a place among other caring charities and people in the latest issue of Southport Magazine
