New Socks for Homeless Shelters
Comfort Socks Newsletter - January 2015
Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul
2015 the Year of HopeArtist
Lee Jeffries has captured a moment that will speak to you, if you let
it. This picture moves me to understand that a person walking
through the most difficult time in their life, looks up in hope. We, as
caring people, must respond to the desparation of their circumstance.
It's not about their choices, it's about ours. Please let 2015 be THE
year of hope. Let's move together and start right here, with an answer
to a prayer, and by providing this one simple, warm, but powerful
thing. Join us as we strive to Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul.
Thank you Your City Sports for our kindred heart and purpose. Stay tuned for some Exciting News to come!
This month, the Comfort Socks partnership with Your City Sports (www.yourcitysports.com) brought two homeless outreach programs over 250 pairs of socks! Help
us keep this fantastic momentum going by supporting Your City Sports.
Together we continue to Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul!
It's About the Connection... Socks went out this month to several ministries in NC and Massachussets, as well as local outreaches (such as the coat drive at St Peter's Lutheran Church and God's Garage, Powerwalking Ministries in Southport area, and BC Streetreach in Supply).
It's still feels like Christmas here at Comfort Socks, thanks to Roseann Zambuto McFadden and Carolina House, Wake Forest NC,
and the pictures of her Angel Tree event. You can tell she took great
care in her display. The socks arrived today - and we are preparing 3
large boxes to go to LYNN Ministries, Inc.. in MASS. So, you see, it's a never-ending circle of sock love. Thank you, Roseann, we love and appreciate you.
A beautiful surprise - Thank You - GFWC-SBI - Gen'l Federation Womans Club – for your gift of love and support!
Just received 72 pairs of socks from Threaded Cross
- that means 72 people will receive the comfortable feeling of new,
warm socks on their feet. It's always a great feeling - Thank you,
Why the big smile on Brandon's face? Because he was the one who handed us the box of socks collected by Beau Rivage Golf & Resort. The box may look small, but the quality of socks inside made it worth the trip. Thank you, Beau Rivage, for your sock love.
My oh My - What a beautiful evening we shared at Old Shallotte Baptist Church
- Thank you for opening your church walls and your hearts to the
Comfort Socks mission. Can't wait to count the socks and get them where
they need to be.
Special thank you to New Vision Free Will Baptist Church in Supply - They have been faithful to remember us month after month after month.
Chapter One Book Club in Calabash
remembers us each year - and always sends such an encouraging card.
These words of encouragement go a long way for us and are always
welcome, Thank you, Comfort Socks family, you mean the world to us.
Comfort Socks and Powerwalking Ministries have always been the Perfect Pair.
We couldn't be more proud and excited to share our socks with their
shoes and bless the children of Brunswick county. We love you Wendy
