    New Socks for Homeless Shelters

It Broke Our Heart.....

Comfort Socks received an email from a man who was at a NJ homeless shelter. He asked if we could send him a pair of socks that match and are warm. He said "I'm tired of stealing one sock to make an odd pair to keep me feet warm". It never occurred to us, in all sock work, that there are those stealing anothers worn socks just to have even one mismatched pair. We finally got in touch with him and his feet are covered. Please, help us to purchase just the right socks for the shelters. There is both dignity and love in it.

Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul.

Did You Know......

The Brunswick Streetreach Program has just finished it's season and we are proud to have supplied socks to every host site that was in need. Socks have gone out this month to NC & MA. 4 locations in NC, and Washington State have boxes set to go out. Several sock drives across the nation are scheduled - more to come as plans develop.

Earlier this month socks arrived from our friends at Northpines.org - Northpines has been with us from the very start - and NEVER fails us. Blessed are we because of the kindness Northpines.org

Many thanks to the Northeast Council Pioneers (a volunteer organization of AT&T employees) for hosting a "Cleveland Rocks for Socks" event. The softest socks arrived - perfect for the cold weather hitting our nation. Felt warmer just looking at them!

Now that's how you say "Happy Birthday with Socks" Gracie Jane's birthday celebration was centered upon this girl's love toward others. "Please do not bring any gifts for me - but instead - bring Comfort Socks" Thanks to a group of good friends and thoughtful parents, 111 pairs of socks have arrived. Thank you, Gracie Jane, for your love - and from all of us here at Comfort Socks - Happy Birthday to a beautiful and caring girl who has already made a difference in the lives of many.

Sweet, caring, always ready to do for others, that describes whom Comfort Socks had the privilege to share with last week. Thank you, the Ladies of Jennies Branch Baptist Church, for your love in action lives!

A Word from Our Founder

Comfort Socks is so grateful for our supporters. Encouragement comes in the form of phone calls, facebook interaction, donations of resources and socks. I know many of you enjoy reading about those who help, and seeing all the pictures of the smiles with socks - and we enjoy sharing the pleasure side of our mission too.

Let us never forget that for every smile you see, there are many others who do not have a smile to share. But, because of your support - we have provided soothing relief to over 51,000 people.

Please remember us monthly throughout the year ahead, and know that we are sincerely grateful for your attentiveness to the needs of others, and grateful you have chosen Comfort Socks as a way to express your desire to help.

Your support of Comfort Socks has allowed us to receive 51,133 pairs of socks so far.  We are so grateful to all our supporters. First: We wish Comfort and Compassion are known by our actions and to all sock recipients.  Second: We pray for Blessings for our supporters, sock recipients, and those without a home. Third: Please stay mindful of us and remember us monthly, if you can.
