    New Socks for Homeless Shelters

The Dance of the Heart is Love.....

This month, Comfort Socks connected with two very different types of dance companies, but both have the same heart, a heart to bless and help those in need. We Welcome Son Dance Liturgical Dance Group and United We Dance as Comfort Socks Supporters and Partners.

About Son Dance
Son Dance is a Liturgical Dance Group. Liturgical Dance is a form of worship. The Son Dance dancers are a group of ecumenical dancers that provide opportunities to minister through dance inside and outside of the church and also to a lost and dying world. The power of dance has touched the hearts and lives of many people
throughout time. The Son Dance dancers hope that the same spirit that lives in them brings life to you. We thank you, all 33 dancers, Ms. Valerie Taylor, Son Dance director/choreographer and New Life Christian Fellowship for choosing Comfort Socks to be the recipient of your recent dance expression of love.

About United We Dance
United We Dance is a national dance group that has chosen Comfort Socks as their inspiration to dance the weekend away while putting socks on the area’s homeless population. More that 1,000 dancers from all across the country are expected to come to their annual conference– and all have been asked to bring new socks with them. We are expecting great things from this energetic bunch of caring people. So Let the dance begin, and let’s bless some feet while we are at it! Thank You United We Dance http://www.unitedwedancereunion.com/

Comfort the Feet, Comfort the Soul.

Stand Up for Kids - Seattle, WA Chapter - (http://www.standupforkids.org/Seattle/default.aspx)

We are proud to partner with such an amazing organization (almost 6 years now) andshare  these words from Stand Up For Kids - Seattle Chapter.....StandUp For Kids is a national, all-volunteer organization that has dedicated its focus for over 23years to finding and extending a caring hand to youth who find themselves surviving on the streets of our cities and neighborhoods. The volunteers of StandUp For Kids Seattle are dedicated to being a positive and compassionate presence to the homeless and street youth of Seattle by providing weekly outreach on the streets and monthly dinners for the youth via our Fresh Feed events.

Comfort Socks is always with us in this critical mission. By far, clean, dry socks are one of the most needed and treasured supplies that we provide our youth. When days are spent walking to find resources, medical care and a safe place to stay, socks quickly become dirty and full of holes, opening the door to great discomfort and serious health risks for kids on their feet all day. Every StandUp For Kids Seattle volunteer has experienced an eager young person bounding up to the outreach team to seek out these socks and leaving with a smile, and perhaps, a feeling that there are people who really do care about them.

We couldn’t do this important work without our partners at Comfort Socks. The Comfort Socks team works hard to provide socks for our vulnerable youth and we’re so grateful to be the caring hands that deliver these precious items to kids who deserve so much more than they normally receive from the world.

Thank you, Comfort Socks, for your incredible work and the difference you make to all the homeless and street youth who we meet in Seattle!
