Tell others about us - share our work with your school, troop leader or church.
Collect NEW Socks for us - Socks drives are fun and inspiring for young and young at heart. You must register your Sock Drive with Comfort Socks to use our logo and materials!
Want to help your local homeless shelter too?
Don't worry, we have a procedure in place for that. Just let us know the details on our contact us form, and we will be in touch with you.
Volunteers are vital to our work. To volunteer your time, tell us how you would like to help (a sock drive, a table outside of Walmart, a walk for socks, etc) and the location and dates you are thinking. Be sure to read all about our Volunteer Expectations.
We would love to hear your ideas for new ways to collect socks. Here are some examples of ways you can make a difference;
A booth outside a local Walmart store
A car wash for a dozen socks - (the youth especially love this one).
A sock ticket to a basketball or football game (Schools are especially responsive).
Contact stores and ask them to become a 'sock drop off' location (this helps their business too).
Calling all Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts - collect socks.
Bingo players - suggest a package of socks as the entry fee for a specific Bingo Night.
Call local school districts and introduce our mission.
Elementary Schools – During a specified “Sock Week” have the children design a great big sock box for collected socks.
Children can make cards of hope” for homeless people, and Comfort Socks will be happy to pass them onto the homeless agencies we serve.
Contact local newspapers and run a public service announcement about Comfort Socks.
Spread the word by putting a link on your facebook page, send out a tweet, or encourage others to follow us.
Tell local churches about our mission (especially our Socks on Sunday Program)
Tell us how you would like to volunteer your time (a sock drive, a table outside of Walmart, a walk for socks, etc) and the location and dates you are thinking.
Thank you for your willingness to participate in our mission.
Remember - Every Sock Matters !
